He earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Health from Azusa Pacific University and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Regis University. Dr. Cowell completed extensive post-doctoral training and is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). SMT), extremity manipulation (Cert. EMT), and ultrasound-guided techniques.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Cowell travels nationally to teach and assist in advanced continuing education courses focused on dry needling, manipulation, and performance rehabilitation, helping shape the next generation of clinicians treating climbers and high-performance athletes.

When he’s not working with athletes, you’ll find him climbing, backcountry skiing, or mountain biking in the Colorado mountains.
