CLIMBING-SPECIFIC

UPPER BODY INJURIES

COURSE 2 of 3 | CLINICAL MANAGEMENT OF THE ROCK CLIMBING ATHLETE

BUILT BY THE CLIMB CLINIC

Online, Self-Guided Continuing Education Course for Healthcare Professionals

Shoulder, elbow, and wrist injuries are common as climbers push higher volume and intensity, yet most clinicians rely on generic overhead-athlete or general orthopedic protocols that don't account for the unique demands climbing places on the upper body. This course teaches you to evaluate and manage upper body injuries in climbers, spanning the shoulder, elbow, wrist, cervical spine, and thoracic spine, with each module covering anatomy, clinical examination, rehabilitation strategies, and return-to-climbing guidance built specifically around the demands of climbing, offering 12 contact hours (1.2 CEUs). This online, self-guided course is designed for healthcare professionals who treat climbers, including physical therapists, athletic trainers, chiropractors, occupational therapists, and sports medicine physicians.
