A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Derek graduates from the CU Anschutz Doctor of Physical Therapy program in December 2026. He is currently completing his clinical rotation at The Climb Clinic alongside Dr. Kevin Cowell.
An avid climber with more than a decade of outdoor and competition experience, Derek has climbed up to V14 and 5.13+ and has competed at the national and international levels. He has also coached climbers of all levels, using strength and conditioning to help them improve performance and reach their goals.
