Dr. Kevin Cowell (He/Him) is a rehab and strength training specialist at The Climb Clinic. He received his Bachelors of Science in Applied Health from Azusa Pacific University & earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Regis University. He has undergone extensive post-doctorate training and is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapist (FAAOMPT) who has received his Diploma in Osteopractic and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Dr. Cowell is passionate about educational programs for students and travels across the country to assist at courses teaching dry needling (Cert. DN), ultrasound-guided dry needling, spinal manipulation (Cert. SMT), extremity manipulation (Cert. EMT), and performance rehab and strength training.
Dr. Kevin Cowell has worked national & international climbing events with the IFSC & USAC. He specializes in treating climbing & sport-related injuries from flexor pulley injuries, rotator cuff tendinopathy, cervical nerve impingement, low back pain, lateral epicondylopathy, & more. He is the lead physical therapist for the CU Climbing Team & DU Climbing Team. If he isn't in the clinic, you can find him climbing, backcountry skiing, or mountain biking in Colorado.
