Come join us for a virtual seminar on trauma informed care for the outdoor athlete! Led by mental health providers Brooke Shaffer MA, LPC and Madeline Schiebel LPC, PMH-C, this interactive workshop is designed specifically for clinicians and coaches who currently work with or who may find themselves working with athletes who have experienced physical injury in their outdoor sport. Come learn techniques and tools to expand your practice by learning how to identify psychological stress through a trauma informed lens.

 

What you’ll learn:

  • How to identify a psychological stress injury 

  • Tools and strategies to regulate a client during emotional distress 

  • Understand how our brain and bodies function under stress

  • How to screen a client in a stress or trauma response

  • A trauma informed client protocol 

  • Ways to self-regulate to avoid burnout and compassion fatigue

 

Our goal is for participants to leave this workshop feeling confident to implement the above objectives into their practice and/or coaching!
