FAQ for The Climb Clinic

Do I need a physician referral?

  • No, you do not need a referral in order to visit The Climb Clinic. Colorado is a “direct access” state. You do not need a physician referral to see a licensed physical therapist. The only exception would be if your insurance requires one for out-of-network reimbursement. The physical therapist will refer you to a physician if they feel it is necessary after the initial evaluation.

Will you take my insurance?

  • The Climb Clinic is a fee-for-service clinic. We do not bill your insurance. There are usually many restrictions and limitations we face with insurance, complicating our ability to give you the care and treatment you need. The fee-for-service model allows us to maximize your appointment time to provide you with accessible and individualized care.

How do I submit for reimbursement?

  • To submit for reimbursement, contact your insurance company to ask about your out-of-network benefits and learn of any requirements you need before visiting The Climb Clinic. You can request a Superbill from us to submit to your insurance. Please ask your practitioner for a copy during your session.

What payment methods do you accept?

  • The Climb Clinic accept checks, cash, Venmo, debit/credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards!

Do you only treat rock climbers?

  • No! The Climb Clinic is dedicated to treating anyone interested in physical therapy, rehabilitation and strength training. While our practitioners have special expertise with rock climbers and outdoor athletes, you do not need to have any climbing experience to receive treatment. If you have questions about the types of specialities we work with, please email info@theclimbclinc.com.
